An intro to design thinking with Zhongya Zhang

Zhongya Zhang is currently doing research across design and education domains. She is using design thinking to help teachers to improve their teaching style by designing products (methods) to build creative classroom culture. This is through combining knowledge from technology, developmental psychology and learning science. Her ambition is to make best use of technology and design thinking to impact teaching and learning in practice.

She will give a presentation about her design and research project in a local secondary classroom, to help teachers engage children using design thinking for meaningful learning by integrating AR technology. The whole cycles included from co-designing with the teachers to create the protype, improving it by appliying it in the field and using fast iterations. She will show how design thinking make societal change in practice.
